Terms of use

The basics of using School Run, and what we do and don't take responsibility for.

Last updated: 28 June 2026

Who can use School Run

You must be 18 or over and a parent or guardian of a child (or otherwise responsible for them) to create an account. Keep your details accurate and your login secure. By using the service you agree to these terms.

We connect parents - we don't provide transport

School Run helps parents find each other and arrange to share the school run. We are not a taxi, transport or childcare provider. Any lift or arrangement is made directly between parents, on their own responsibility.

We can't verify identities, so meet first

We have no way to confirm a member is who they say they are, or that they really attend a given school, and we can't rule out impersonation. Always meet in person at the school gate and satisfy yourself it's safe before sharing any lifts or letting someone travel with your children. Decisions about who you trust are yours.

Acceptable use

Be honest and respectful. Don't harass or impersonate anyone, misuse other people's details, ask people off-platform to dodge safety features, or use School Run for anything other than arranging school runs. We can suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

No money through the platform

School Run is free and never handles payments. Lifts are shared on a goodwill basis. If parents privately share fuel costs, that's between them - and they should check it doesn't affect their motor insurance (see Trust & safety).

Our liability

We provide the platform “as is” and, to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the conduct of other members or for arrangements made between parents. Nothing here limits any liability that can't be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Ending your use

You can leave a school or delete your account at any time from Profile & settings. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms or pose a safety risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the Irish courts. See our Privacy policy for how we handle your data.
